Bio The primary focus of Michael Kalichman's teaching, research, and service is in research ethics. The UCSD Research Ethics Program has a separate web page. A second web site, Responsible Conduct of Research, developed and maintained at UCSD is designed to provide institutions nationwide with the necessary resources to develop and improve programs of instruction in the responsible conduct of research. In collaboration with some other members of the Peripheral Nerve Research Group, Dr. Kalichman's research interest is the use of physiological and morphological measures to better understand the mechanisms of diabetic neuropathy. These activities are summarized on a separate web page.
